I.
Texas heat
rising
To wilt my
body and mind -
Ice cube
necklace soothes.
II.
My village
is odd
Sharing
fences with strangers –
Yet, we
smile and wave.
III.
Buzz buzz of
junebugs
On their
backs, my cat torments –
Feline
soccer game.
IV. (version 1)
Divine are
the songs
Music takes
away my pain
Revealing
the joy.
V. (version 2)
Divine are
the songs
The music
dissolves the pain
Reveals only
joy.
VI.
Jazzy in
genre’
Her trumpet
explains passion -
Shania be
her name.
VII.
Miles Davis
blows mean
Coltrane and
Bird express pain –
Their body
and soul.
VIII.
Breathe me
Spit me out
Inhale once more
